Labaado is a brand that makes and sells contemporary African ready to wear and beyond. We specialize in “made in the Gambia” garments, apparel, handmade fashion & home accessories; blending innovations and culture.

Labaado, which means “beauty” in Fulani, defines the boutique and its essence of style and elegance. Labaado’s clothing selection and exclusive personal style service, which include a detailed Style Assessment, will ensure that our customers are well dressed in unique outfits which depict their personal flair.

Labaado is organized as a social enterprise to empower young talented tailors and artisans in our society. Labaado is working with 15 young underprivileged tailors, 7 artisans and 5 models in uplifting them to make best use of their talents as well as empowering them to be economically independent. Labaado is also partnering with a tailoring school in transferring tailoring and handmade embroidery skills to women and girls.

Our business idea is conceived out of our desire to make a meaningful deference in the lives of young talented/skillful Gambians ( Women in particular) with limited access to market due to lack of financial resources. The underlying foundation of LABAADO is based on the principle of service to humanity as this principle has a deep-seated meaning for us. We are an advocate for the weakest members of society. We represent the ongoing mission to empower vulnerable groups in our society and youths in marginal economic activities in the streets which fosters social responsibility within the business. At Labaado, we are committed to source our inventory from manufacturers who demonstrate use of ethical production.
